Cider Making Sunday!!

What a lovely day for making cider. We went out to the farm of some Friends from our Quaker Meeting. Lots of sunshine, kids, finger-food, tractor rides, apples and gallons and gallons of cider! Here's Poodledoc, Jr turning the crank on the ancient but efficient cider press. Yum! I didn't even mind that I got lost on the way home!

I liked watching the kids get into picking apples and making cider. They need more opportunities like that.

Okay, I'm sorry already! It looked pretty straight-forward on the map. Still, it was a nice day for a drive in the country, and it's always good to spend time doing something real with people you like.

Yes, Suzy, I agree. The combination of the gathering last night at Greenler's and this one today was a good one for the Middle Schoolers. There's more comfort there, more bonding. Last night they did lots of hiking, trampoling jumping, etc.

Ed: I'm not pissed! I think it's funny, that's all. I am the one that took the wrong turn. Besides, I haven't been in New Glarus for a long time! How quaint. And the scenery was great excetp for the ATV guys.....it was just and adventure of a day.
